Hello

I’m Troy, a videographer, editor, and storyteller focused on authentic, personality-driven content. From brand campaigns to behind-the-scenes documentaries, I create work that feels real, connects deeply, and reflects the people and stories at the heart of it.

About Me

My work is rooted in observation and driven by story. Whether I’m directing a campaign, documenting a live event, or building content for a brand, I approach every project with curiosity and intention. I’m especially drawn to the challenge of finding a brand’s voice and translating that into visuals that connect—through style, pacing, tone, and rhythm.

Some projects demand structure and precision. Others require me to listen quietly and capture what unfolds. I’m comfortable doing both. Whether I’m shaping a pre-planned vision or discovering it in the moment, my goal is always the same: create something that feels honest, sharp, and distinctly human.

For me, the camera isn’t just a tool—it’s a way of seeing. It grants access, invites connection, and helps me stay present. No matter the format, I want the work to feel like it belongs—to the person, the place, and the story being told.

My Story

I’ve always had a camera nearby. My dad documented everything when I was growing up—games, speeches, everyday moments—so it didn’t take long before I started doing the same. By middle school, I was creating segments for school-wide broadcasts and realizing how much I loved building something from scratch: the ideas, the filming, the editing. That creative control felt natural—and it stuck.

After graduating from CSU Long Beach with a degree in Broadcast Production, I started freelancing at MyxTV, where I got my hands on everything from red carpet interviews to live music shoots. That led to behind-the-scenes documentary work for a reggae band, photo education through a nonprofit, and eventually filming the Olympic journey of breakdancer Nico Castro. Each chapter taught me something different, but they all sharpened how I see, listen, and tell stories.

In 2024 and 2025, I stepped deeper into brand storytelling—creating serialized content for Simplex Minds and leading video strategy at the San Diego County Fair. From last-minute shoots to multi-day recaps, I was trusted to build content that reflected the Fair’s personality while keeping pace with its evolving needs. Looking back, it’s never just been about the camera. It’s been about the connection, the creativity, and the chance to see and show the world a little differently each time.

Want to connect?

Every project starts with a conversation. If you’re working on something that needs a thoughtful eye and a camera to match—reach out.
